Evidence of Dirk's relentless skill and inventiveness. I didn't even know there was electro metal before I heard this song, but now this sets the standard. Love it.

My electronic Metal-project was jumpstarted by a competition of the website geargods.net, a site dedicated to Metal-musicians. I worked very hard on the composition, but the deadline was too close, so I dropped the idea to join. But working on this instrumental piece reactivated my interest in the genre and not much later I had the idea to develop an own Metal-style.
Now almost a year later I come back to the song and I name it „Gods“ because of two reasons: First it still remembers me on the geargods-competition. Second it will be a part of my Stephen Crane-Metal Project and Crane often describes the relationship between gods and humans. Unlike the christian believe this relationship is not positive in Crane’s work. The human being lives in fear of mighty gods, who handle the human like a plaything. The brutal behaviors of Crane’s gods seem to be the right topic for a crushing Metal-instrumental.
Though I have defined my Metal-style without any guitar-solos I broke the rule here and played two little solos. In my opinion soloing sounds a bit outdated in 2017 and I plan to underline my opinion with a blog-article. However playing a solo on the electric guitar is still challenging, especially if you want to play within a „Metal“-context and … it’s fun.

Do you like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden or Manowar?
Heartscore, a German-italian studio-project (no live-shows planned) bring back the power of classic Heavy Metal paired with some Prog- and Thrash-Metal influences.
Far out is an excellent descriptor for GOATS latest release. While saying that, if feels personal and nostalgic at times too. Never a dull moment as they say. It’s just really cool. Take a listen to it.. Acef Stripe
