Stephen Crane comes up here with a very strange love-poem. A maid want to throw flowers on the grave of a „wicked man“, but a spirit wants to hold her back („No flowers for him“). At the end the poet asks the reader, why the maid weeps, though the man was so wicked and shows one of the well-known contradictions of love.
The grave-scene and the talking about a „wicked man“ let me think on old horror-movies like „Night of the living dead“. Therefore I chose a very heavy style and close to classic Heavy Metal. But under the surface are many modern ingredients hidden: Shifting polyrhythms, a extremely distorted and deformed drum-set and some subtle play with a tape-delay.
