I registered a more positive vibe, when I read this poem by Stephen Crane. Though the main character prefers to stay in a place of blackness, he knows, that „she“ is here and remembers on „golden days“ and „silver nights“. But it seems he can not stand the presence of the beloved „she“, maybe because of his weak heart. It’s like somebody is afraid of powerful emotions, which could be awakened by a woman. But compared to other poems of Crane there is a bright and warm glance inside this poem unlike others, which are ladden with despair and a brutal fight against the fate. I felt, that pure Metal would be not appropriate to show this inner beauty here. Therefore I created something like a very deformed Funk-Song and added one heavy guitar and a violin. The song should reflect the strange romantic atmosphere of the poem. By the way my selfmade guitar makes its debut here.
