When Sue wears red

about

I plan to release a complete revision of my 2002 album "Sculptures" and this is the next track. The poem of Langston Hughes inspired me to work with Gospel-elements in this song, so you get many choirs and call-and-response-parts. The music is definitely influenced by Led Zeppelin (guitars) and Queen (choirs). Songs like Queen's "All god's people" from "Innuendo" had impressed me at those times.
The artwork is just a placeholder. I am still working on a good artwork and would like to integrate the mask I have used for "Black riders part 2" to establish a trademark for the artworks throughout.

lyrics

When Susanna Jones wears red
her face is like an ancient cameo
Turned brown by the ages.
Come with a blast of trumphets, Jesus!

When Susanna Jones wears red
A queen from some time-dead Egyptian night
Walks once again.
Blow trumphets, Jesus!

And the beauty of Susanna Jones in red
Burns in my heart a love-fire sharp like a pain.
Sweet silver trumphets, Jesus!
